Ecuador’s hottest new export, Jombriel is redefining Latin music with a distinctive reggaeton-meets-dancehall sound and a string of global hits. With over 1.5 billion career streams to date, 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify and 4.5 million followers across social media, Jombriel has quickly emerged as one of Latin America’s most exciting new voices. His breakout single, “VITAMINA”, has amassed over 355 million Spotify streams, debuting at #24 Global, reaching #1 in Ecuador, and landing in the Top 10 in 13 countries. Another major hit, “Parte & Choke”, reached #23 on Spotify Global Viral and #110 on the Global Top 200, while the remix featuring Ryan Castro further solidified his international impact.
Jombriel’s biggest hits have earned him major certifications across the Americas, including 4× Platinum RIAA awards for “VITAMINA” and “Parte & Choke Remix.” In Colombia, he holds multiple 2× Diamond certifications with “VITAMINA” and “Parte & Choke,” while his album Jombriel De La Suerte has already reached 2× Platinum. In his home country of Ecuador, “VITAMINA” and “Parte & Choke” are certified Diamond, the remix is Platinum, and Jombriel De La Suerte continues its rise with a Gold certification — solidifying Jombriel as one of the most impactful new voices in Latin urban music.
Born Jonathan Gabriel Cedeño Romero in Esmeraldas, Ecuador, in 2003, Jombriel began his career in freestyle battles before releasing his first professional single in 2020. His early EP, La Sangre Nueva, launched him onto the Latin urban scene, and since then he has maintained a steady stream of hits that resonate both locally and internationally. Recognized for his raspy voice, authentic flow, and ability to blend Afro-Ecuadorian rhythms with urban Latin music, Jombriel has been described by media outlets as a “diamond in the rough” and has become a standout artist in the next wave of Latin urban talent.
With a string of global hits, unique style, and a growing fanbase, Jombriel is putting Ecuador on the map of Latin urban music and establishing himself as one of the most promising voices in the genre today
